Hi! I am Katharina and I know how you feel because I have been there...
A couple of years ago I was really struggling as a mother. My kids kept driving me crazy and I felt like a failure: while other mothers chatted over a latte about how their kids always behaved, I was chasing after mine wishing for bedtime to start in the early afternoon.
Then I stumbled across nonviolent communication. It is all about finding the needs and feelings of the other person and connecting in an empathetic way. After a lot of reading, attending courses and practicing I set out to identify what my kids felt and needed. It wasn’t perfect and still our life became much more peaceful. The real miracle happened after I started treating myself in a much kinder way. Nonviolent communication provides you tools for that.
Finally situations that were bound to end in tantrums, tears and slamming doors started to resolve peacefully, leaving everyone relaxed and me relieved and even proud of the job I do as a mum.

FAQ
What age are the kids you are talking about?
Nonviolent communication works with people of all ages. In my course I use examples with children between 3 and 8, but once you have grasped the essence of the concept you can apply it to anyone. I have successfully used it with my boss and my coworkers, too.
I don’t have time for this!
Once you know how it works you only need 5 to 10 minutes of practice every day.
How much time do I need for the course?
The video lessons are altogether about 30 minutes long. You can go at your own pace and come back whenever you like. You get all time access to the course.
I have tried everything and nothing works. How is this course different?
In my experience most advice concerning communication with children does not consider parents’ needs as really and truly equal to the needs of the child. They focus on the child and forget that parents are also human beings with limited resources that need to be taken car of. When parents learn how to give themselves empathy, they can do the same with their kids much more easily than before.
